Yellowjacket Giving Tuesday 2023

Calling all members of #Yellowjacket Nation!

Join with us today - on Giving Tuesday - to help provide more access and social mobility for students with grit.

Our focus this year will be to support the new Yellowjacket Excellence Award which is designed for first time freshman to continue their academic success, graduate and fuel our future.

Our goal is for Giving Tuesday is 40 donors to represent the 40 students THIS YEAR who are ON CAMPUS because of this award.

How does the Yellowjacket Excellence Award work? :

• The Yellowjacket Excellence Award is an automatic award based upon the student's high school GPA.
  • University Campus Awards vary between $1,000 (minimum 3.649 GPA) and $3,000 (maximum 4.0 GPA)
  • City College Campus Awards vary between $500 (minimum 3.649 GPA) and $1,500 (maximum 4.0 GPA)
• This award is renewable once students are on campus for those who remain in good academic standing

• Yellowjacket Student Crisis Fund: We have story after story of how circumstances beyond a student’s control, put them in a situation where they just needed a little help to get back on track to continue on their academic journey. Awards typically are a few hundred dollars, but the impact is worth far more. Often, it is difference between continuing their education or having to withdraw from school. With a little help, we can make a world of difference for our students. 

• General Athletic Scholarships: Yellowjacket Athletics is proud to represent the city of Billings, and the state of Montana as the only NCAA Division II school in the state and its because of that we attract on a yearly basis 230+ student athletes who compete in a Yellowjacket jersey representing eastern Montana's university. Of those 230+ student athletes 80+ are from right here in Montana and 15+ international athletes. However, these athletes just don't come to only compete and go to school - they also give back to this community in the form of over 2,000 community service hours this last academic year. By supporting General Athletic scholarships you provide the chance to make the most impact in helping the department recruit and retain top-talent that represent our city and state.

• Greatest Needs: Not sure where to give - but WANT to make an impact on campus? This is your fund! By giving to this fund it allows the flexibility to apply your donation to support everything from helping to provide financial support to a unique learning experience opportunity for students on campus to assisting in purchasing a piece of equipment that will help MSUB continue to produce some of the best and brightest in Eastern Montana.
