Yellowjacket Soccer

Yellowjacket Field at City College has been the home of Yellowjacket Soccer for over 20 years and last underwent a significant renovation with artificial turf installation in 2007. Last year the Yellowjacket Athletic Association announced the beginning of a phased campaign to remodel and enhance the facility.

Your contribution today will directly help the next phase of the project, which will be expanding the bench areas for both the home and visiting teams. When the field was built, the roster sizes of the programs were much smaller, and we cannot now have the full roster of coaching staff sit on the benches as the roster sizes have increased.  

Expanding the bench area will require the remodeling of the retaining wall behind the benches and the purchase and/or fabrication of new physical benches and weather covers. Additionally, the benches (to protect against theft and weather) are mounted in concrete, so additional concrete work will be required to enhance and expand the functional area.  

This project will be done (in part) with the assistance of the City College Construction Trades program, which Yellowjacket Athletics and the Yellowjacket Athletic Association have partnered with before in their efforts to remodel and enhance the facility. Any funds raised above and beyond the cost of this phase of the project will be saved and used towards future upgrades and enhancements of the facility.
