The 2021 season was a historic year for the golf program. The men's team made its first-team appearance at regionals, and senior Garrett Woodin became the first men's golfer to reach the national tournament. With a majority of both squads back, loaded with talent, and a full playing schedule, the opportunities ahead for these teams are limitless.
Golf in Montana looks different in the winter months than in most places here; the courses are covered with snow, and golf moves inside to simulators. These funds will be used to complete and outfit the (soon-to-be) MSUB Golf Team Room in the Physical Education building. In addition, any funds raised above and beyond the cost to complete the project, will be used to support and enhance the student-athlete experience for our golfers.
This project will provide an immense recruiting advantage for MSUB Golf, help enhance our student-athlete experience and allow our players to have a consistent (and accessible) resource to practice in the winter months. It will also give our golf team a space in the Physical Education building to call their own, something that they have never had.
