Join us for Jacket Giving Day 2026 and support the College of Education Study Abroad Program! Your gift helps prepare future teachers to thrive in today’s diverse classrooms by expanding access to transformative global learning experiences.
Today’s classrooms reflect rich cultural diversity, and preparing culturally competent educators is more important than ever. This project provides scholarship support for College of Education teacher candidates to participate in study abroad experiences—removing financial barriers that often prevent students from gaining invaluable international exposure. These experiences equip future educators with global perspectives and cross-cultural skills that strengthen their ability to build meaningful relationships with all students.
Students who participate return with enhanced cultural competence and a deeper understanding of how to support, respond to, and advocate for diverse learners. Success for this project will be measured by the number of students who receive scholarship funding and are able to participate in these experiences.
Make your impact today by giving during Jacket Giving Day 2026. Any funds raised beyond this project’s immediate needs will be used to further enhance the overall Yellowjacket student experience in the College of Education.
