The MSUB Annual Powwow is a signature cultural event that celebrates Native traditions and strengthens connections between campus and community. This project focuses specifically on supporting the Powwow Host Drum—an essential element of the event that sets the tone, upholds cultural protocols, and anchors the authenticity of the powwow experience.
As one of the largest Native cultural gatherings in the Billings area, the MSUB Powwow draws hundreds of participants and attendees each year, bringing together Tribal Nations, students, alumni, and community partners. Ensuring strong support for the Host Drum helps preserve the integrity of this event and reinforces MSU Billings’ commitment to honoring Native culture.
