This scholarship program at MSUB is designed to award first-time freshmen for their high school success with a yearly renewable scholarship based (initially) on their high school GPA. This application is valid at both our City College and University Campus. Studies have shown that past high school academic achievement correlates to university success, and with cost, the number one barrier to high school graduates, this transparent financial help will help eliminate/reduce some of those barriers.
Our goal for Jacket Giving Day is $6,000 for this project. This amount will be sufficient to offer scholarship support for two students at City College for a full year or to provide a student on the university campus with support for one year.
