Montana’s schools face a critical teacher shortage, but within our classrooms lies a powerful solution: paraeducators who are passionate about teaching and eager to become licensed educators. They already know their communities and students—what they need is the opportunity to advance. At MSUB’s College of Education, our Para-to-Teacher Pathway empowers these dedicated professionals to earn their teaching degrees while continuing to serve their schools. This isn’t just a solution to the teacher shortage—it’s an investment in the future of our students and communities. By supporting paraeducators, we can help them become the teachers Montana needs.

To make this program a reality, we need your support. For Jacket Giving Day 2025, our goal is to raise $5,000 to kickstart the Para-to-Teacher Pathway and provide paraeducators with the resources they need to earn their teaching licenses.
