The launch of Dress the Nest – MSUB Professional Closet, our newest service at MSUB Career & Employement Services, is a vital step in breaking down financial barriers that many students face when preparing for career opportunities. Professional attire is essential for making a strong impression in interviews and networking events, yet not all students have the means to purchase appropriate clothing. With MSUB and City College awarding over 750 degrees annually and more than 200 students participating in internships each year, the need for professional attire is significant. Additionally, with 40% of our students receiving Pell Grants, many face financial challenges that make investing in career-ready clothing difficult. By providing access to these essential resources, we empower students to present themselves with confidence as they transition into the professional world.
